After changing gmail password an account doesn't fetch mail

Postby asfaltboy » Sat Oct 15, 2011 7:35 am

I have several accounts installed for fetch in Gmail Notifier Pro (calendar and 3 gmails).

After changing password for my second gmail account it suddenly doesn't fetch mails, but fails with message:
Code: Select all
Failed to process account:
"Not authenticated, you need to authenticate first."

I entered the account options and changed the password and the "Test account settings" says it's working correctly. I can also enter this account from gmail itself.
Also, when trying to open the account by right-clicking it and chosing "Open" it brings me to a google acounts page that says:
Code: Select all
"The page you requested is invalid."

I wanted to ask here if there is anything I could try to do before re-installing the GNP.
I have a registered user with version 3.2.1 (don't remember if it's portable)

Thanks in advance for your help,
Pavel

I just found out that the IMAP account validation feature isn't working properly in the latest versions of Gmail Notifier Pro.

If the IMAP connection is successful, but the password is incorrect, Gmail Notifier Pro will still report the account settings as OK when using "Test account settings" button. I will of course correct this problem in next release.

The error message you see is probably because the password is incorrect. Please verify that you have entered the correct password in the account settings.
